It's been nearly three months since Seattle has seen live sports. Now that we've all had a chance to relive reruns of past games and soak in nothing but sports nostalgia, it's time to put history to the test. Welcome to the March Madness style bracket that will unofficially determine the greatest moment in Seattle sports history. Over the next two weeks, you'll have a chance to cast your vote for your favorite moments to help determine a winner, which will be unveiled Friday, June 26.

The 32 moments, determined by Seattle Times sports staffers, have been broken up and seeded in two sets of 16. There are many great moments in Seattle sports history that are not mentioned, but this list is our attempt to narrow the field to the best of the best and is in no way meant to diminish other moments that didn’t make the cut. The moments also primarily reflect recent history (the past 40 years). Below is a schedule for each round. Voting for new rounds will open at 9 a.m. on each day listed below.
