New 8th Congressional District
Washington's 8th Congressional District remains swing territory in the new maps drawn by the state's redistricting commission.
The district got marginally less Democratic leaning, emboldening the efforts of three Republican challengers as they take on Rep. Kim Schrier, the Sammamish pediatrician who won the seat in 2018.
The district stayed largely intact, bridging the Cascade Mountains.
But it shed portions of Pierce County, including much of Auburn, while picking up much of Snohomish County along the U.S. Route 2 corridor.
