Wildfire risk expected to increase in Washington

A model from the nonprofit First Street Foundation projects that more homes across Washington will be at risk of wildfires over the next 30 years. The group defines risk of fire as a property with at least a 0.03% annual risk of wildfire, or a 1% risk over 30 years. The group projected the share of properties at risk of fire this year and how that will increase over the next 30 years as climate change continues.
