Eastside’s first eight light rail stations open April 27

Trains are currently confined to a 6-mile stretch from South Bellevue to the Microsoft campus in upper Redmond. Within a year, two more Redmond stations will open. The south end of the line eventually will continue along I-90 into Seattle; it is estimated to be complete in late 2025.
REDMOND TECHNOLOGY STATION (Surface)
What’s there? Microsoft headquarters.
Who will ride? Microsoft workers, travelers connecting by car or bus from Bellevue’s Crossroads neighborhood or downtown Redmond.
Making connections: Parking garage for 300 cars and 44 bicycles, regional bus center, walk-bike bridge.
OVERLAKE VILLAGE STATION (Surface)
What’s there? Microsoft West Campus, Honeywell Aerospace, Goldsmith Neighborhood Park, strip malls.
Who will ride? Neighbors on both sides of Highway 520, tech workers, 10,000 future residents.
Making connections: Walk-bike bridge, B Line bus passenger drop-off zone, trail to downtown Redmond.
BELRED STATION (Surface)
What’s there? Drive-up retail stores, indoor sports centers, arts district.
Who will ride? Commuters at small businesses, people heading to sports and arts.
Making connections: Parking lot with 300 spaces. Four at-grade train crossings create risk of collisions.
SPRING DISTRICT STATION (Surface)
What’s there? Global Innovation Exchange, Meta offices, apartments, Bellevue Brewing Company.
Who will ride? New apartment residents, brewpub patrons.
Making connections: Trail nearby to Kirkland and Redmond, easy sidewalk access.
WILBURTON STATION (Elevated)
What’s there? Overlake Medical Center & Clinics, Kaiser Permanente and retail blocks east of I-405.
Who will ride? Staff and visitors to healthcare providers.
Making connections: Eastrail walk-bike bridge crossing busy Northeast Eighth Street. Huge boulevards lead to station drop-off area.
BELLEVUE DOWNTOWN STATION (Surface/elevated)
What’s there? City Hall, Meydenbauer Center, The Bravern boutiques, apartments, office towers.
Who will ride? Finance and tech workers, city staff, conventioneers, performing arts fans.
Making connections: Regional bus center, landscaped Sixth Street walkway to Bellevue Arts Museum and Bellevue Collection.
EAST MAIN STATION (Surface)
What’s there? Restaurants, Old Bellevue shops, Bellevue High School, Hilton Bellevue hotel.
Who will ride? Retail workers, students, hotel guests and workers.
Making connections: Downtown bike lanes, I-405 overpass, corner park next to station.
SOUTH BELLEVUE STATION (Elevated)
What’s nearby? Mercer Slough, walk-bike trails, historic Winters House.
Who will ride? Commuters from Eastgate, Factoria and Coal Creek neighborhoods to Bellevue and Redmond tech jobs.
Making connections: A 1,500-space parking garage to switch from I-405 or I-90 onto trains or buses.
